Review (by Malcolm Storey)

Fold out leaflet of 8 A4 pages colour printed on shiny card. Identification is by means of a three tables, one each for crustose, foliose and fruticose species, followed by good colour photographs of the species with diagnostic features briefly decribed. Well-chosen icons are used to indicate hand lens needed, clean air, nitrogen tolerant, acid tolerant, and chemical tests.

The Natural History Museum has an online web-site in conjunction with this guide which provides an online version with close-up pictures.
