Review (by Malcolm Storey)

Produced by Dorling Kindersley in association with The National Trust.

A beautiful work with several pages devoted to each species. Each description includes a distribution map and describes the life history, ecology, conservation, threats and other topics at some length. There is also a full page of paintings showing ova, larvae, pupae, adult male and female, upperside and underside, diagnostic features, appearance (gizz) in the field, and anything else the authors could think of!

Examine with Binoculars ( with x8 or x10 hand lens is also useful)
