Lannoy, G. & Estades A.
Keys to families, subfamilies, multi-access keys using various groups of characters. The species accounts are then embedded in classical dichotomous family keys, with drawings of microscopy etc.
A useful modern treatment from the authors who introduced us to so many new spp of Leccinum.
Text in French.
|Comments and Corrigenda
||The colour plates were re-issued with much better printing.
||Line drawings in the text, 6 colour plates at the rear.
||In the Hand (also useful to examine under a Compound Microscope).
||Cut flesh for colour changes. Microscopy needed in some sections, esp Xerocomus and Leccinum.
||Xerocomus and Leccinum, in the modern sense, require careful examination.
||Subsequent DNA work on Leccinum has shown the majority of new species introduced by Lannoy & Estades to be merely habitat-induced variations.
