Review (by Malcolm Storey)

Another lavishly illustrated work with many beautiful colour photographs, as we have come to expect from this series.

Although the selection of species reflects the Italian origin, most of our species are represented, plus the likely candidates for new arrivals encouraged by global warming.

Keys to subgenera and sections (p50) and to species within each. Species accounts with drawings of microscopy and abundant colour photographs (often several pages for a single species).

Keys in Italian and English, species accounts in Italian.
