Review (by Malcolm Storey)

One of the better field guides to macrofungi. A large selection of species (over 1500) are covered. Each species is given a short description and is illustrated with a good colour painting. A useful feature of the work is the line-drawing of a spore which accompanies each description, as spores are so important in fungal identification.

A dozen pages of keys precede the main text, and further keys to familes and larger genera are provided at the appropriate points in the text.

New edition expected imminently.
