Review (by Malcolm Storey)Describes the finding of Boletus satanas and B. radicans (as well as B. luridus for which such behaviour is well documented) on St. Catherine’s Hill, in Hampshire, growing in open downland, hundreds of yards from any tree and presumed to be mycorrhizal with Helianthemum nummularium (Common Rockrose).
