Review (by Malcolm Storey)

A guide to common British molluscs. Descriptions on left-hand page, line drawings to the right. Keys to Marine Gastropoda, Freshwater and Brackish-water Gastropoda, Terrestrial Gastropoda, Marine Bivalvia, and Freshwater Bivalvia. Other smaller groups are covered in the text.

Most useful for the sea-shore fauna, as the terrestrial and freshwater molluscs are better covered elsewhere, although it does include dissection drawings to help distinguish the Arion ater complex.

Examinein the hand in the Hand ( with x8 or x10 hand lens is also useful)
Specimen PreparationIdentification is mainly from shells. The bivalve key is much easier to use than Tebble’s.
