Review (by Malcolm Storey)

The second volume and final volume of this work covering this large group of plant pathogenic hyphomycetes.

The taxonomy is based on host plant and morphology, and morphologically identical species on related host plants are synonymised. Of course the classification may still change significantly when DNA work is included.

For the user, identification is largely based on the host plant.

Includes the host/fungus index covering both volumes, with keys to those genera which support more than a few species.

The entries are published online in the species accounts in MycoBank: http://www.mycobank.org
