Review (by Malcolm Storey)

Examines the potential use of sex pheromones, predator odours (as well as crayfish stress and alarm odours), feeding stimulants and deterrents to control Signal Crayfish.

Found that sex pheromone-baited traps could be used to control populations by removing a large proportion of adult males during the breeding season. The traps need to be made more effective by purifying the sex pheromone and developing a specific releaser matrix.
