| Review (by Malcolm Storey) | Keys and detailed species accounts. The species concept adopted here is narrower than in more recent accounts (eg FAN 2 and the UK checklist). This is particularly in the yellow-capped group, where the author has always maintained that P. luteovirens has a yellowish-green cap (as the name implies), distinctly different from the warmer yellow of P. galeroides and P. xanthophaeus. |
| Errata, Corrigenda & Comments | Couplet 48 (page 17) refers to Fig 11 - this should be Figs 13-18 (broad cystidia) and fig 10 should be 10-12 (narrow cystidia). Further more: figs 13-17 (especially 15) are drawn too broad (PDO: pers comm). |
