| Review (by Malcolm Storey) | Unlike many works on "shells" this book is as much about the animal and what it does for a living as about the shell itself. It remains a good introduction to the sheer variety of molluscs found in Britain, particularly in the sea, but the taxonomy is inevitably very dated. |
