A part-work comprising photographs of agarics (by Moser) and polypores, resupinates, etc (by Jülich). Many of the photos were taken on neutral backgrounds and show top, side and gill views of the specimens.

The photographs are reproduced at reasonable size (2 per page) but somehow don’t quite work, often being very cold (blue).

Nevertheless the series covered a huge number of species, many of which are not illustrated in other works. They have the additional advantage of having been reliably identified by the expert authors.
