Review (by Malcolm Storey)

Records the abundance in 2003 of two recent additions to our mycota:

Microsphaera azaleae on Rhododendrons and Azaleas at Kew Gardens, which was first recognised here in 1998.
Uncinula flexuosa on Horse Chestnuts and American Buckeyes, first recorded in Britain in 2001.
The fungi of dried up ponds including Hypholoma subericaeum, Phlebia subochracea, aero-aquatic fungi (eg Helicöon, Helicodendron), Aegerita states of Bulbillomyces farinosus and Subulicystidium longisporum, and the similar, but greenish, Pseudaegerita viridis.

Pluteus spp near P. cervinus are also discussed.
