Specimen PreparationSpecimens killed by gentle heat (p16), fixed in 2-4% formalin and mounted in glycerol or lactophenol
Identification difficultyA good microscope with at least phase contrast and probably differential interference contrast (DIC) is needed to make out minute structural details of hyaline tissues.
